Health As Static
There Are Two Kinds of People in the US – Those Who View Health As Static and Those Who Don’t
I believe Americans need a new way of thinking about health. Look where our current perspective on the subject has gotten us – we are last among the 17 most industrial countries in the world in all major health indicators. It’s hard to believe but right: we are last in life expectancy; We have the highest obesity level, infant death, low-birth weight, heart disease, diabetes, chronic lung disease, murder rate, teenage pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.
The main author of the Institute of Medicine, it sponsors a study that reveals this situation says that “Americans get sick, die faster and maintain more injuries than people in all other high-income countries.” (It’s a quote from the report.) Then he added this coup de Grace: “We are stunned by the tendency of all the findings on the negative side – the scope of losses cover all ages, from infants, all classes of society. If we fail to act, the life span will continue to be shortened And children will face a greater level of disease than those in other countries. “
Two ways to think of health
I believe Americans are too passive about their health. Good health can only be achieved and maintained by conscious actions. This action requires planning and students. Examples include exercising regularly and enthusiasm, eating in ways that maintain the body without causing problems and positive, active problems.
The health level you will enjoy is clearly influenced by your lifestyle choice. Your health status is very dependent on whether you invest in welfare or not. If you make a little or no investment like that, your health will depend on coincidence, genetics, the process of aging and timeliness of the quality of medical care you receive.
If, on the other hand, you invest, if you search, protect, and maintain good conditions, the nature of the health status you will have will be dramatically – and better.
Therefore, we need to distinguish these two types of health situations – one passive, one active.
The Institute of Health reported that placing the last Americans reflected that the American segment was passive. If a fairly small segment of the American population that practices active health is separated, if their health data is compiled and compared, I am sure we will be # 1.
For this reason and related reasons, I propose we see health in two different ways – by making a difference between static health – which best looks and approaches their health, and health. The latter is what you get when you invest wisely in your own welfare.
This is the way of life that I call real health.
Health at this time is considered
The definition of WHO health is not realistic (no, even the most righteous Wellite, enjoy “complete physical, mental and social welfare,” at least not every day). Most consider health in a much cheaper way. Most think they are fine if they don’t hurt. This is sad. This is the same as not needing immediate medical attention. For the most part, this is a healthy view “which is quite good”. Thinking like that is a self-satisfying forecaster. That means that unhealthy is the best you can expect. This is a static definition of health and must be reformed and at least accompanied by another comparative perspective for Americans who are willing to do their part. It will be obtained by health.
I think we need ideas about health that remind people about the main facts, that is, that the passive situation is not as effective as effective, desirable, protecting or useful as a health condition obtained dynamically. We all must realize that health is static, the default settings you get for only there and do nothing to improve health, can and must be strengthened and encouraged.
